Broken Lock was always more than a jewellery brand. A familiar craft that became a vehicle to explore the depth of bigger ideas.
Identity. Convictions. Memories.
I've always been more interested in what a piece means, than simply how it looks. Over the years, people have called my work a talisman. Others have tattooed 'Take What Is Yours' because of what the phrase came to represent in their lives.
What starts with a conversation, finishes with something people can carry for years
Sometimes it's an artist wanting to capture an album, milestone or career highlight in a single object. Sometimes it's a brand looking to create something meaningful, beyond merchandise. Other times it's one person marking a chapter of their life.
From there I sketch, carve, sculpt and refine each piece using a blend of traditional and modern jewellery techniques.
Every decision is intentional, because the object isn't the destination—it's the reminder.
Whether it's an individual commission or high volume production, the process never changes.
